STARS offer to parent carers

We offer parent carer support through our free eLearning and workshops.

STARS bite-sized eLearning videos and resource packs for parents and carers are available, via Bite-sized parent eLearning videos | Leeds for Learning.

Free parent carer workshops 23/24:

9:45am – 11:15am

email SEND@leeds.gov.uk to book

Please be aware that due to unprecedented demand for these workshops, we are having to cap numbers attending and turn requests to attend down. Please do not book a place on a workshop unless you intend to take it up. If your circumstances change and you can no longer attend, please email STARS and let us know, so we can offer your place to someone else. Many thanks.

ICAN VIDEO TOOLKIT FOR PARENTS

The ICAN team (Complex Communication and Autism Team) are part of the NHS Child Development Team. They have produced a large range of videos designed for families of children with complex communication needs or autism, to support them post diagnosis. The videos have been designed with pre-school children in mind, but much of the information will be of use for families with older children too.

Each video lasts between 20 minutes and 40 minutes and is best viewed on a laptop or smartphone. Follow the link below and scroll to the bottom of the page.
