STARS can only accept referrals from early years settings, primary or secondary schools where the pupil has a diagnosis of autism. We cannot accept referrals from GPs, health professionals or parents.
Phone the STARS office first to speak to a member of the team who can advise you on what support you might need. If we feel you need to make a referral based on the needs of your setting we can send you a referral form to fill in. Telephone 0113 3789792.
Schools and settings can also download a Word document referral form.

"STARS have effectively supported us with A's transition into Year 1. The recommended strategies were practical and successful. This has helped to reduce A’s anxiety and he is now thriving at school. The combination of this support and the AET training has meant we now feel empowered to meet his needs and other children with autism".
