Social Stories

Social stories present information in a literal, 'concrete' way, which may improve a autitic pupils understanding of a previously difficult or ambiguous situation or activity. The presentation and content can be adapted to meet different people's needs.
 

STARS Social Stories training aims to teach:

• Why social stories are effective for autistic pupils
• A simple, easy to follow method for writing social stories
• Cartooning and other visual systems for teaching social skills
